What did this game do well?

I really like how the game used a depth system to measure progress. The fact that it was displayed on screen constantly updating and speeding up the further you went down was excellent. Interesting approach; I though the knife has to go through the blocks, but how it has to shield was interesting Gameplay is solid, and the difficulty scales quite well. The sound effect is done great. The choice of font and colors makes the UI blend in. i really liked the creativity of their game with havign a shield for the sword health, i liked the health bare feature, the designs were cool, and the difficulty they added with the realistic part of gravity making the sword fall faster The slow progression of speed and the emergency shield mechanism was good. Pretty fun to play.

What could this game have done better?

I think the UI displaying the emergency shield and damage could have been clearer - the color chosen for the text was similar to the background so it was a little difficult to pay attention to both your shield and health and the 1000 degree knife at the same time, especially when the latter was moving quickly. I think the UI could be better. The score board and game over page I would expect a more obvious indicator when the player is damaged or when the obstacle is destroyed visually, in addition to the sound effect. The shield as it is implemented doesn’t feel that handy to me so perhaps animating it will make it better. It is interesting that there is an emergency shield, and I assume it is related to the number of obstacles that you destroy, if that’s the case, saying that as a part of the UI or in-game effects will be pretty cool. maybe making the obstacles have a design, making a intructions7 page for controls As the game progresses, the speed becomes very fast and the obstacles appear too quickly, making it a lot harder to be prepared to activate the shield. Since there is a stamina bar for the shield, it becomes difficult to manage at those speeds (unless that was the intention). Perhaps as the speed increased, the obstacle spawn could be managed better. Or maybe there could have been a way for the knife to recover its health to survive longer.

This game is PURE FUN
