This is great, the first conversation with Mother has me thinking about SNES Earthbound and what a quirky game it could be.

Collision detection is a bit frustrating on the more complicated sprites inside.

I like that you chose morgenstimmung as background music. Definitely not your normal plot. In terms of the actual game I wish there was some “quest panel” which shows what you need to do, and maybe a clearer indication of what you can interact with. Also found it difficult to get through some thin parts. The combat was pretty easy once I figured out that I could just spam healing moves. I love the style of the graphics.
