WELCOME TO THE INAUGURAL OLYGAMES GAME JAM!

THEME:

• Create a game that encourages friendly competition across a variety of "Sports", real or IMAGINARY!

DURATION:

• The Jam is meant to loosely coincide with this year's Summer Games where you can begin working on your entry on the first day of Summer, June 20th.
•  Submit your game at any time thereafter with a Deadline of July 28th. 
• We can all Enjoy and Rate your creation throughout the duration of The Games which ends on August 11th with the Final Results posted soon after.

RULES:

• A minimum of 3 distinctive Sports must be included.
  • Of course, more sports are appreciated but don't spread yourself too thin!
  • We're using the term "Sports" loosely to keep with the Oly theme; Feel free to think "Mini-Games", instead ;)
• Your game must include a competitive High Score Leaderboard.
  • Global High Scores are strongly encouraged but Local tables are allowed.
• Teams are allowed.
  • Submissions should be made by 1 Member of the Team with all Roles credited.
• Submissions must be WIN or Web games hosted on Itch.io.
  • Additional builds appreciated!
    
  • Submissions will be locked during the voting period but you are encouraged to continue making improvements (see Post-Jam Co-Op below).
  • Submissions must be Free to Play throughout the Voting period. 
• No NSFW or inappropriate content allowed.
  • Submissions to this Jam are meant to be shared and enjoyed by Everyone!
  • Jam Hosts have the right to remove any Submission they deem inappropriate.
• You must have the right to include any Media which must be properly Credited where required.

RANKING:

• Ratings will be made by Entrants and Contributors using the following to compute Overall FUN: 
  • Theme
  • Gameplay
  • Creativity
  • Visuals
  • Audio
  • Narrative
• Note: 
  • While the actual Games provide room for creativity themselves, you are encouraged to take competitors to imaginary places to perform imaginary feats to the best of their abilities!
• Rating Queue enabled!

PRIZES:

• More than $500 USD in Cash and Prizes to be awarded thanks to the following who support Indie Developers like us!

• AGK Studio + DLC provided as Steam Keys
• Cash values in USD and can be sent via PayPal or as a Donation to your Submission on itch.io

FRIENDLY COMPETITION:

• All levels of dev experience are encouraged to participate!
• Be sure to introduce yourself and get to know a little something about one another.
• Feel free to mock up ideas prior to the official Start but the real work should occur during the Jam.
• Enter early to receive valuable Feedback which all are encouraged to provide to assist in any final adjustments prior to the Deadline.

POST-JAM CO-OP BUNDLE (Optional):

• To continue The Games beyond the event itself, Submissions may be included in an optional Co-Op Games Bundle to be assembled following the Jam in association with Bundle Everywhere.
• To ensure the spread of good will offered by the entrants, the bundle price will be Pay What You Want (PWYW) with a tentative launch date of September 1st, 2024 and a duration of 1 Month.
• The Top 3 games submitted to the bundle as Judged by the Jam Hosts will receive a higher split of any revenue generated (think appropriate Gold, Silver, Bronze breakdowns) with the remainder split equally amongst remaining participants.
  • We will strongly consider Ranking as provided by participants so please do Rate!
• Further details will be set as the Jam progresses and are dependent on the number of Submissions to the Bundle. 
• Be sure to tick the box during Submission to be considered!
