Description
The soundtrack is made with the following stuff:
- an old mac laptop
- an old Logic Pro X
- some string samples from Spitfire Labs
- (typing) keyboard and mouse
- one sleepless night
The submission contains three tracks, each with probably different genres? I was experimenting so I'm not exactly sure how everything turns out in the end result. That and I don't know much about names of genres, subgenres, and the likes.
#1 Homecoming
This track attempts to replicate that feel of going back home after a long road trip with the radio blasting during the mid-semester breaks I used to have as a kid. Tried to go for that sort of pop rock feel? I just went with my instinct. Won't be surprised if I subconsciously copied some song I've heard somewhere before.
In a perfect world, this track has vocals and lyrics. But with my lack of time and skill, strings will have to do.

#2 A Dance Amongst the Flowers
An attempt on duelling song with some flamenco or tango influence, similar to Ace Combat Zero, except the composer has no knowledge of said genre and guitars.

#3 Frost and Rime
Big fan of Frostpunk's theme: the severe cold and jittery feel. So I used it as a major inspiration for this track.

Message from the artist:
Submission for Lone Rabbit's OST Composing Jam #3 with the theme Story of Seasons. I took several inspirations from other VG OSTs out there and tried to come up with my own composition. My first ever OST jam.
Paradigmal skies mean... I don't know. Paradigmal isn't even a real word. I just chose random words that sound cool lmao. The cover art also only involved slapping some shapes and gradients, then some blur effects. Yeah, I know my art skills suck.

Theme:

Story of Seasons

How does it fit the theme?
Each track refers to a certain mood that reflects a particular season.

Homecoming refers to that feeling for the end of Spring or Autumn. It was supposed to be just the end of Autumn but then I realized it can also be used for Spring. That and I have no time left.

A Dance Amongst the Flowers is created to reflect Summer. The theme of guitar dances like flamenco and tangos tend to have a summer atmosphere.

Frost and Rime is obviously Winter.

i was listening to submissions with my friends and like WOW i wasn't expecting the flamenco! instantly memorable

Oh boy, for having no knowledge about flamenco and the audacity to pull off something like AC0, I'd say you did fairly well. But you can probably up the excitement a few notches.

Developer(+1)

HAHAHA I agree!

I could've gone more crazy with the ornaments and added more solos, but pretty sure I'm already straining my stock Logic guitar samples to limits lol. Oh, and the time.
