Name of the original composer(s)/artist(s)

Is this a cover, tribute, or medley?

Tribute

(In the style of...)

Description
The tracks were inspired from Ryu Umemoto's games, Xenon and EVE Burst Error. The music in these games often felt eerie but groovy. The tracks were structured after Xenon which is a story about a guy who has recurring dreams of him in a spaceship, only to find out soon that they're real (not sure if this is a spoiler but it's in the synopsis).

Genre: Chiptune
Runtime: 5:56
Tracklist:
1. Pace - Inspired from Xenon's "Past" track which had this memorable intro with a sequence and pitch bent synth pad
2. Loom - I kinda mixed together the tracks in EVE Burst Error for this one, the slap bass was always notable in the OST
3. Weave - From the tracks "Xenon" and "Synaps", the intro of Xenon had a rhythmic sequence and had a very deep bass synth, sadly I couldn't emulate the bass sound. I took the marching rhythm from Synaps for the drums
4. Alright - In the style of EVE Burst Error's "Day (Kojiroh)" which had this thick groovy bass line and drums

These were made in Ableton Live

These are all great tracks! My favorite is Pace with the dreamy pitch-bending tones and the subtle pulsing drums. Great work!

Developer

Ayy, thank you! Really cool for you to notice the pulsing drums as I'd put it at the start and every end of the songs. I'm glad you liked Pace since it's inspired from my most favorite track in the games :D

Don't know the game, but you actually made so that the 4 tracks follow the "Dreamscape" theme really well and i love it :D

Developer

Thanks! Glad to know that the tracks fit well with the dreamy mood ^^

I don't know the originals, but these were really nice. The instrument choice and layering is well balanced.

Developer(+1)

Thank you :) I tried hard to find the presets close to the original tracks then tweaked them. Good to know that the tracks sound balanced too.

Really good tracks! Don't know the game either but I'll take a listen. Was it a MegaDrive game? The bass you're using got a strong sega vibe

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The games were from PC-98 games. The soundchips used in those PCs were similar to the Sega Drive soundchips so that's where you're hearing the sega drive part. I'm very glad you noticed this!

I'm not familar with the original games, so I can't speak as to how well these match the style, but these were all really, really good in their own right! I'm super impressed with how you managed to make all the tracks sound cohesive despite them being quite different in style/tempo.

I think Loom was my favourite track overall, head was nodding throughout :)

Thank you very much for this. I'm really glad to hear that you liked Loom since I spent the most time on the track. Glad to see that it's paid off!
