Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
It is a point and click, top down game inspired by some of the mechanics of FTL. You control pawns to defeat enemies and progress through the Point of Interest (POI) map. The current ultimate goal is to clear all of the map's POIs.

There are abilities that differ depending on what type of POI you arrive at. These abilities can either affect your pawns, the capabilities of your ship, or the enemies directly.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
We interpreted the theme as you (the player) are the weapon, and your goal is to destroy everyone you come across. You control your own pawns however you want, and use your powers to destroy whatever is necessary.

In our game you are the god to our pawns, and you fulfil their desires by providing them with your power to surpass their limits, or smite their enemies.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
We came into the game jam with the mindset of using it as a learning experience. Any feedback that is noted would be appreciated.

I like the idea. Especially the screen where your ship changes to another island or enemy ship stands out

It was a little confusing cause the tutorial is a lot to read and remember in the beginning. I had to go back and read it again. When you select an enemy, they also turn blue which also confused me in the beginning.

I would love an indicater on the ship level, to see how many pawns are on each deck and the enemies did stay on screen after their life dropped to 0. They did not disappear immediately.

All in all, I like the idea cause it is very unique and the art looks really cute, it just needs a little bit more polishing to have a smoother experience.

I can only agree with that. The art style is very well done, the idea is nice, but the gameplay experience could be optimized. I also encountered a bug where I couldn't properly select later levels, and the new level didn't load immediately.

Overall, though, it's a cool game, and I hope you participate again next time!

I really appreciate your feedback! We definitely focused hard on the "prototype" aspect of this challenge, in the sense that we wanted it to be apparent what our game was going for more so than having a polished gameplay loop. As a result, I'm very happy that you were able to see through the clunkiness and into our vision, even if the substance wasn't totally there.
