Fun easy movement with a progressive levelling system. Plays well on both controller and M & K.

It fits it well in the literal sense, you mutated into the weapon they designed, they just never thought it would turn against them

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Just enjoy as much as we did making it, and please remember we are all new to this

I am one of the developers on the project. While I'm thrilled we were able to get something in for our first jam it is also fair to say it's not quite there yet. With that being said if you do try our game and want to experience at least some of what was intended here is some important notes to make your experience less rocky.

1- At the insert credit screen click on the window and then push the space bar. That should fire the loading sequence.

2- There are 2 points in the main room that cause enemy guards to spawn. If you walk to the far side of either end of the main room you'll be prompted with an arrow. Use the "E" key/"X" button to move to the next room. These side rooms didn't get completed so immediately turn back and head back into the main room. By room switching you've reset the guard spawners so now you can get more guards to spawn.

3- Use the ranged attack (right-click/"F"/Right Bumper) to help you close gaps on enemies. The ranged attack will cause drag to the enemies hit while not slowing the player down.

4- Use the melee attack (left-click/"R"/Right Trigger) to kill. The melee attack does more damage however it not only slows enemies who are hit by it but also slows the player while swinging.
