BooomBite is a fast-paced top-down action roguelike where you control a living bomb, detonating strategically to take out as many enemies as possible. With an upgrade system in place, each run becomes more chaotic and rewarding. Players must manage their explosion radius, dodge enemy attacks, and navigate atmospheric, procedurally generated (procedural generation is not developed yet) levels to survive.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
In BooomBite, the player is the weapon. The act of detonation itself is a double-edged sword—while it can clear enemies and obstacles, it comes at the cost of life and time. The countdown that follows each explosion represents the ticking clock of life, forcing players to make strategic decisions about when and how to explode. The player must embrace their destructive nature, using each detonation wisely to overcome challenges, but at the risk of losing control. The weapon they wield is themselves—every explosion brings them closer to their end, and yet it is essential for survival. The theme of "You Are The Weapon" is about balancing power and consequence, where the player’s ability to destroy is also their greatest vulnerability.
