Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
YES
Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes
Summarise your game!
Chosen is a game where you are a magic Sword in a pedestal
looking for a hero to wield you. Use your limited agency of choosing to stay or be pulled out to build your legend, attract the right people and defeat evil together.
Press SPACEBAR to Glow or Resist
Use your mouse to look at the stats of heroes
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
YOU ARE THE WEAPON
However you will not be wielded, the second someone removes you from the pedestal. Your agency disappears, so make sure you CHOOSE the right person to claim you.
"Weapons don't kill people, people do."
We thought it would be engaging to view the weapon as "powerless" with limited capabilities. Instead as a destructive force. If nobody came along, the weapon would just live their life peacefully.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
The Branching Narrative,
I would like a judge to play the game at least twice and try to interact differently with the characters to see if their choices matter!
Making a narrative game in less than 2 weeks is a challenge, so I hope we sorta succeeded!

I'm a big fan of the art and color palette used here! I don't play these kinds of narrative games, but you did a great job with the storytelling and making the player feel like they played an active part in it. I like the way you used ambience for the background, but it currently gets drowned out by the dialogue audio. I think more emphasis on the ambience would be nice. Good job with your submission!
yeah, fast text but I could read. Really like the animation, the art style is amazing...it reminds me art from fantasy comic books. Well done. The mechanics are nice too.
Hey, we accidentally built the game in double speed. My bad... Hope you're a fast reader!
