- This game is fun but battling the enemies is counterintuitive and hard.
Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?
Yes
Tell us about your game!
Colors of Life is a small action-packed top-down game where you add color to a colorless world by moving around. Be a hero of the world - add some color to it and stop enemies from removing all the color again.
Player and Enemy movement and actions convert the game world into colored if done by player, or uncolored by enemies.
Controls:
- Movement WASD
- Aiming: Mouse position
- Left Mouse button: Shoot
- Right Mouse button: Grenade
- Left Shift: Dash
Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes
Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes
Extra Notes
Game was tested on Game Jam difficulty and each run lasts 3-10 minutes. The difficulty, world completion requirement, is how much of the world needs to be converted.
Game might freeze on level loading but it just takes a while to load the level.
Currently, game has no audio.

GDD:
My first impression with GDD is that the title doesnt match with the game's title
GDD title: Spread the color - Game title: Colors of Life
Glad to see that ya are planned beyond for future patch.
Game:
I think it is cool that ya have different difficulties.
It is on point with the theme. Also I found out that running in diagonal direction was faster.
Also the combat was not easy to do. Because it is easier to shoot while still and the mechanic feels odd when ya are running and shooting at the same time. Sometimes ya just ran into the enemies while the bullet should have killed them. The dash button is easy to forget. And right mouse click on Grenade is also easy to forget. It may feels better if it was used with the gamepad?
I think the game should support with the gamepad and having a setting menu would be cool for audio control and remap the keys could improved the experience of the game. Otherwise good game.
Thank you for the feedback.
Regarding the game name in GDD, I made the GDD early on when I used 1st name that came to mind and later changed it for release without changing it there.
Regarding the game issues, I agree with your points. Will definitely need to look into those issues.
