- Good entry! I'm not the best at platformers but this was fun.

Tell us about your game!
Solar Sanctuary is a platformer boss fight against an enemy that attacks with light. Hide behind platforms to prevent the spread of light from damaging you.
The player can jump, wall jump, attack cardinally, and dash.
After a splash screen or two, you're put into an arena where you can fiddle with movement however you want. Once you're ready, attack the lever on the ceiling to start the fight.
The boss deals contact damage and has a few states:
follow - chases the player for 6 seconds
flashbang - flashes light from itself. You'll take continuous damage when in direct contact with the light
laserbeams - two sets of eight beams blasting from its core
dash - will wind up and then dash towards the player's position (the position you were at when it started winding up)
the boss will gradually increase in size as the fight progresses. This makes it harder to avoid but also easier to hit.
Tip: I find it easiest to avoid in its follow state if you're on the ground floor and run to the other side of the screen, then wall jump until it changes states

Good looking game! The controls when it comes to wall jump are a bit awkward. At least on a keyboard it is (I couldn't get my controller to work with it). For example, if I'm on the far left on the wall, I'm pressing the A key. Then I jump but if I don't let go the A fast enough, then the character will drift back left towards the wall I just jumped off of. Or the opposite will happen, I release to button too soon before my jump and fall back down. It makes for stringing multiple wall jumps quite hard. Other than that, the dash feels good, the visuals are great, the character sprite looks good as well. Good job!
