  • Good entry! The storytelling is fantastic, the characters are well developed and the theme is implemented nicely. Fantastic job!

Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
Hyperpirate is an interactive Visual Novel RPG where you need to keep notes on what you believe your character's skills are in order to use them in challenging situations. The game intentionally doesn't show you your stats apart from when you gain or lose them, so you're forced to memorize them or keep a notepad to track your self improvement.

You play as a Swordsman... or Gunslinger, bent on adventure! er... on mastering their skills! er... On getting justice for their father, or paying for college? There are many choices throughout the game, but they aren't meant to alter the story (for the most part), they're meant to alter you, and the way you see Deimon Kischter. Are they a snobby noble vying for an apprenticeship at the greatest college in the Crystal Sea? or are they down on their luck, simply looking for a higher calling to something more out there?

Your goal is to adventure and experience the story the way you feel it should be experienced.

The game is unfortunately unfinished, but it's also my first game so I'm very happy to have it done and out there, especially in a community I deeply enjoy. : )

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Extra Notes
Thank you so much for this opportunity! I know it's not a viable job for everyone, but I desperately need something more than what I have right now. It's killing me and not even paying enough for rent and groceries. I can't wait to hear your feedback so I can improve until things start to click for me in game development. Thank you so much for playing my game. : )
