  • GDD Introduction seems good. I would like to see images from the inspirations. I am glad to read about the basis of the inspiration. That is a good inspiration. Correct platform. Good! The art section could be improved by showing art asset and it doesn't have to be in depth, but just explain why ya pick the color palette or shows concept art of what ya have in mind for art. Good with minimum viable product and beyond. Game The game feels like a good point and click. I enjoyed it, but I noticed that the great goblin king have an placeholder art. Shame that "the combat" didn't finished implemented yet. I hope to see more of this. Perhaps have an puzzle that the player need to solve in order to progress or have more story that goes little more around within the game. I noticed the sack icon is at the same place as the renpy's menu button is, so it is a little hard to click on the icon. Also the game might need to be scaled to size dynamically, so that is something ya can look into. I am glad to see "minimap" and the dialogue system worked as intended. But I don't see too much "alchemy", so perhaps having an scene where ya can see the lab making the bread instead the bakery? Also worm regards from an mod. Nom.

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Yes

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
Yes!

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
First game, made in Ren'py.

Story:
- The great goblin king's guards are prohibited from eating bread! The goblins have taken it upon themselves to secretly move the ingredients to a "secret" baking facility and supply fresh baked bread to the guards.. but they must remain undetected by the goblin king!

Controls: mouse:
- Drag the instrument in your hand (mouse) around your desk to move the arrow-looking-thing on your screen.
- Left mouse button / LMB: Apply pressure on to this button to perform a click.

In-game:
- With your move-able arrow, move it onto the larger green arrows in the bottom left of your screen. Now perform a click to progress to that direction in the simulated world. Your can keep track of your location through a mini-map.
- You can also sometimes find objects within the screen to be clickable.

In the rare case (it shouldn't happen but if you do) of getting stuck:
While in-game, you can reset the game through the menu by hitting escape -> delete saves / persistent data.

Extra Notes
You're awesome.

Nice implementation of the game engine! I was able to navigate around the area and know where I was at at all times. Feedback for the game is to see if you could not have the goblin king speak so often.

Thanks! I've noticed this myself as well with the encounter. It's currently a dice roll between 1 and 10 and (maybe to no surprise) when it lands on 7 the Goblin King appears. This roll only happens when you walk around the "grid" which is the 3x3 area around the fountain. Sometimes it rolls 7 multiple times in a row, sometimes it never rolls 7. I have to look into how to make it a bit more balanced.

Game is too big and won't fit on my monitor with out going Fullscreen which takes up my whole pc screen.

Need to have it windowed smaller then 1920x1080. Its not about quality of the resolution in Webgl games its about being able to play a fun mini game on your computer.

Developer

Thanks, I adjusted it to 480p, hopefully that's better.

Yes much better thank you
