  • GDD - Looks good, overall nice and clear and you've planned things out well. Fantastic presentation. The game at first looks very polished, love the intro with voice acting! And the art work in that intro is sublime. The gameplay itself was surprising after the fantastic intro - it was a little jarring with how different it was after my expectations were set sky high by the introduction. Maybe it is placeholder art? Placeholders are definitely OK for a game jam, as I'm sure that your intention was to focus on the mechanics and gameplay first. You got the game submitted. That's the main thing! I'm glad to see your artist is also your "cheerleader" on the team :) Brief note: I played on a gamepad, but the game showed me keyboard controls in-game. Maybe that's a web thing not properly detecting the gamepad. Or maybe you only had time to implement keyboard images. Either way, it's not an issue, but thought I'd let you know in case you did actually add gamepad icons and didn't realise the game was doing that. You've clearly thought about how you wanted to implement both aspects of the theme (shadows and alchemy), so great job there.
