Tell us about your game!
Solace is a metroidvania which incentivizes the player to chase their shadow. Through this journey, the player is forced to confront creatures which have become the personifications of their flaws and undesirable traits. This game uses the theme of alchemy (alchemical stages) and its as a platform to explore one's emotional journey and psyche.

Extra Notes
we kinda tried to do too much at once for our current skill level. Will try to improve more so next time we can have a better game to show you!

The foundation here is good, both with art direction and also gameplay. The different attacks are cool, and would love to see these as more of a thing you unlock through levels rather than just having all the attacks from the start. Obviously there is only one short stretch of level to experience, but it was enough to see the vision of what the game could be. You should off a bit of combat, some movement, and the art style.

One thing I noticed, may be a me problem, but I feel the obstacles (spikes) blend a bit to much into the rest of the background, where the first few times I actually ran into them thinking they were part of the backdrop.

Great submission, should be proud of how much you got done in the time frame!
