  • I found game a bit laggy which made it hard to control Morry. The background music is very good. I like the attack animations for Morry. The theme's are not very obvious when playing the game. I would like alchemy to have a more active role during the gameplay. Awsome job on the game. I look forward to seeing what you create for the next Jam!

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
yes

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
yes, it's in the game description

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
yes

Tell us about your game!
Moth Alchemist Morry wakes up one day and notices the moon is melting and the forest is invaded by shadow creatures!
The evil beast Alkahest is probably behind it all...

Controls are listed in the game page description.
Gameplay consist of sidescroller platformer with ranged and melee attack.
Getting hit increases corruption and, when the gauge is filled up, the player dies.
Some enemies require to be hit by the potion attack, as described in the GDD.
Just 1 level and 1 boss for the prototype, end screen with stats.

Extra Notes
We planned a bit too many features and we ended up cutting a lot sadly, next time we will plan better...

The art and atmosphere drew me in like a moth to a flame. Really nice.

Accelerating and decelerating of the character felt awkward because he/she doesn't stop when I stop pressing etc. And I wished there were more checkpoints.

I really like when jam games include cutscenes and your was just what was needed, not too lenghty.
