  • You technically put the themes in, but only at a superficial level. It could have been a wand or any other 'weapon' type. Why did it have to be a flask? Monsters weren't defined, as you went grayscale and black on black colors. Whether you used more color or outlined the shadows, something to make the enemy clearer. Different enemy types or bosses would have been cool, even if just visually for this demo. Was not clear on the idea that you could only pick 3 power ups. If I skimmed an instruction in game about that, I apologize, but graphically that was unclear to me.

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Yes

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
Yes: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YqVMTErvmLr8Op-3gTpf4YOqYDnJoxyXrP4fSy3kmNY/edit?usp=sharing

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
Noctis Witch is an auto-battler idle game where you continuously add effects to your chemical flasks to battle eldritch horrors.

The player character will automatically battle stronger and stronger monsters in a small window in the middle of the screen, gaining gold when defeating them. Using this gold, the player can then decide which effects of their flask to add/strengthen at any time. The player character can die, but this is only a temporary setback. The player keeps all flask upgrades on death, and merely gets sent back to the start with beginning enemy scaling. Of course: one of the main charms of an idle game is that players can leave the game running in the background, passively gaining resources to progress while doing something else that requires more attention (such as work).

This game has incredible potential! You should start by polishing the game. I can see it becoming very addictive to play!

Appreciate the kind words! Not sure if I'll get around to expanding on this concept but I'm glad just to have it out there
