- Starting with the themes, there wasn't much for me to work with when playing, nor anything that suggested shadows were used nor alchemy. The only thing I had was combat and simple controls. And, on the topic of playability, besides the ability to move and shoot at other enemies, I cannot say that once I enter the first or fist few set of rooms and get bombarded by several enemies at once--with barely any health to work with doesn't make for a good start when playing for the first time. If there was more to do besides attacking enemies and moving around in the rooms provided, some kind of indicator would be nice there. I will add, that the art of the character, enemies and environment were done nicely, and the music was done well, too. While my experience playing didn't leave me with much to work with outside of taking down enemies and collecting a few items, I'd still like to see how this could be expanded upon so the themes made more sense in their incorporation, as well as some other indicators for the controls if there was more to be done than just fighting enemies. Do keep up the hard work.
