  • Unfortunately neither I nor multiple other judges could get the game to work, so I will focus the review primarily on on the GDD. The concept of being a bull in a bull run is an interesting interpretation of the theme "You are the weapon." I like the idea of the game mechanic where you chase down enemies as fast as possible to get points. With the introduction of pits and other obstacles, it reminds me of Jump or Mario in 3d. It would have been an interesting concept to play through. The music for the game did load, it was catchy and fit the style for a speed based game, I enjoyed the bop. For the GDD, it was pretty well designed, though it would have been good to have some examples of the art style/color pallete included in the game to give guidance as you progress, especially if there are multiple people working on the same project. Interesting concept, I wish it was playable!

Not sure if my game is just glitched, but when I press play, nothing works. Just spawn in a nearly empty world with some 3D asset making sound effects below me.

Yeah sorry, our game had a huge issue on submission where the level generator refused to create the level, we didn't have enough time to fix it and thus the game was submitted in an unplayable state. I wish there was a way we could have prevented it but we joined the jam 4 days late and were all under time crunch the whole time. Luckily me and my team have agreed to continue working on TORO and fully release it within the next month or so. If you'd like to keep up with the development and eventual full release of TORO the best way is to follow the itch page! Once again I am so sorry that the game is unplayable.

No problem, I was just curious if I was doing something wrong. It's alright if ya didn't beat the time crunch, the jam motivated you to make the game at least lol.
