  • Hello Pirate Jammer, Thank you for the submission. Starting with my experience playing the game. I had fun playing the game. The controls were easy to pick up and flying around smashing into the cube enemies was enjoyable. As far as I can tell there was no sound in this game, even some simple free sound can make a game a lot better. The simple art portrayed the gameplay well and some visual effects when colliding would have been great addition. Finally, the GDD you made was a little sparse, if you got some more thoughts in there I would have a more cohesive idea of the plan you have to make your game. You did execute well on what you set out to do with the time you had. Thanks again.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
Build up speed and smash through bots before they can escape with villagers! Currently only an endless mode. Losing a villager (when a blue cube escapes the edge of the circle) reduces life, gain 1 life each round to a max of 3. Game Over if life reaches 0

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
Tarian (player character) uses his hard scales to destroy robots by smashing himself through them

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
it's my first time be gentle

I'm honestly satisfied with the review! I came up with the character and movement while voting on the theme was still going, but I had a hard time deciding on what kind of genre to go for. so I focused on a movement system and a few basic assets that could work for multiple genres, and finally decided to start with a tower-defense style of gameplay. I had plans to import actual models, add sounds, and more buildings for the player to interact with, but just couldn't manage time well enough to add them before the deadline. congrats to all the winners, amazing work!
