- Your GDD was very bare-boned, it was lacking visuals, graphics, theme interpretation, controls and mechanics. The game's intro was buggy for me, while the text appeared and I could move along by pressing space-bar, the background you had showed for a split second and disappeared. You also had minor grammar mistakes throughout the game, nothing major. But not all is lost, you did a fantastic job with the art style, I personally found it very endearing as it was very retro like and reminded me of the late 80s, early 90s adventure click-game. The game did lack any and all forms of sound, which is a real shame. I really enjoyed the game tbh, as incomplete as it was. I think if you'd work on the story a bit more and added some SFX, this could of been a real banger.

I like it! Solid work for a first-time solo project.
+ Character designs are very likeable
+ The setting is compelling. Space whales? Star cults? Sign me up.
~ The music's nice and chill; it doesn't get it the way, but it's also not doing much to set the tone
~ The writing feels like peak FF or Homestuck fanfiction. It's pleasantly nostalgic, but it doesn't hold up to scrutiny.
- Controls and hitboxes are definitely janky, which is totally forgivable. Without the forgiving respawn mechanic, this would be a much larger problem though.
- Every room starts with an unskippable cutscene, which makes the dialog rather tiring if you have to respawn.
