  • I like that the game is overall simple but challenging. The different spells you get from the cards makes it so that the combat is not as mundane as just shooting at the enemies. I really like the design of the fireball spell as it is powerful but you have to watch out as you can also hurt yourself with it if you are too close. The controls work but it took me a little while to realize i was supposed to play with both my hands on the keyboard. For ease of use I would make it so they are programable or in my mind i would make it so they are just the number keys above WASD. A tutorial or pop up window in the game explaining a few things might also be helpful. I did not notice there was a menu with tab or that I could save cards for later. I know it says it in the summary but not everyone reads the summary completely. Overall I really like the idea and if given more time for polish and development i believe it would be a good game.

Summarise your game!
A game combining and action roguelike with a roguelike deckbuilder. The cards in your deck are the spells that you can use.

Move with WASD.

Play your cards with IJKL. There are also two extra slots in your hand on the keys U and O. You can move cards to these slots to save for later use.

Reshuffle the deck with Space. Note that shuffling costs crystals, which are drops from enemies.

Interact with shrines with E, where you can buy new cards, or upgrade cards or player stats.
