Theme

• The theme for this jam is “Alien World” 

Requirements

The scene could include:

• Natural tiles for the moon, or planets
• Rock environments and caves
• Underground ponds and pools of water
• Fish, plants, mushrooms
• Airlocks, bulkheads, floor/ceiling/wall tiles for the base on an alien world
• Submission should consist of a scene or image in .png, as a side view (not top-down or isometric), 
• Made out of a grid of tiles. Tile size can be 8x8, 16x16, or 32x32 pixels per tile.

Participating

We are looking for talents across all skill levels - this game jam is a perfect opportunity to test your abilities and creativity and create unique designs for a future software development project. We really encourage everyone to come and participate!

The submissions must follow the theme below. This is an actual representation of where we plan to incorporate the pixel art being presented:

Submitting

Submit a PNG file between April 1st, 2022, and May 1st, 2022. It can be a solo submission or a team entry submission. You can submit as many designs as your heart desires.

MAKE SURE YOUR SUBMISSIONS ARE SELECTED TO BE VIEWED AS "PUBLIC"

If they are not public, we will not be able to view your Jam submissions!

Voting

The voting process will include anyone who submitted a design and will happen for a week right after the submission period ends. The decision will be made internally among the members of the project.

Designers will be judged based on a given the following criteria: Innovation, Creativity, Design, and Accuracy based on the requirements.

Prizes

There are three levels of prizes:

First place: $200

Second place: $100

Third place: $50

Rewards will be paid out either in Bitcoin or by Paypal!

Winners will also have the opportunity to be hired for long-term projects and other design jobs we will have for the future! 

Rules

There are no rules! As long as you are submitting an original design then you are eligible for the prizes listed above once the judges have come to their decision.
