Auto Race, released in 1976, is officially regarded as the first ever handheld electronic game. While the visuals, represented by LED lights is simple by modern standards, the gameplay is surprisingly challenging!

 Bonus  Press Alt+1 during gameplay to unlock a secret bonus skin. Mattel might have moved even more units had they been able to acquire the license for this franchise because I think the design of the handheld looks a lot like something straight out of the set of this popular TV show ;)
