Very nice game! I included it in my PowerPoint Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
It looks like this was started well before the jam began. https://imgur.com/uaHO9Bz
The art is great, and the fake loading screens are a nice touch.
Yeah, I started creating the menu before the jam but stop working on it till December 10th. That's when my semester ended which allowed me to actually make the game.
I actually liked the style of this game. It reminded me of old flash games and if you hid the file extension, I would have believed it to be a flash game. The story was really fun to follow and with the sound effects, it actually exceeded my expectations (and the volume of the sound exceeded my stream's expectations). Overall, the game is up there with the best and keep it up!
While totally not being acquainted with Invader Zim setting I was able having fun with this kinetic novel and catch sparking quirks of it's characters. UI/menus have quite and quite compelling layouts, so adding to this things like sound design and ton of small-but-tasty details creates a feel of a
solid piece.
Superior alien tech: whole set of character expressions, visible mood status, visual consistency, usage of both sounds like "voice acting" and music, charming spritework, accessible menu options
Human stink: had some troubles with move-your-cursor section(didn't finish it naturally), guard triangle hitboxes are too low-contrast with white background, extra's section looks being still in development process, messing with main menu loads intro every time
