Jam Rules
Games submitted to Quick Play will be considered for a prize pool intended to fund the further development of the game created, with the ultimate goal of being published on Google Play within a time frame that will be determined early 2023.
All games submitted to the jam are required to be made within the time frame of the jam. We will not accept games made prior.
Along with your game's build, you will be required to submit a link to a PDF or slide deck presentation pitch of your game to share with the judges. Please include your team member's names and emails so we have a way to contact you if you win!
This is an Android only mobile game jam.

FAQs
We have made a PDF going through some questions. If you have a question that we have not yet covered, feel free to ask us in the community forum or by email at contact@latinxingaming.com.
Who can participate?
Anyone 18 years or older can participate in the jam. Latinx in Gaming is hosting the jam but we want to extend the opportunity to anyone interested in participating outside our community. That includes peoples of different cultures, races, religions, languages, and countries.
What platform can I use to make my game/experience?
To be considered for the prize pool, you must port your game only to Android. We will not be accepting analogue games, VR or AR games, Super Mario Maker levels, Dreams (PS4) games, or games that require an emulator to run.
What assets can I use?
Any assets that you have made, purchased, or downloaded with proper licensing are permitted.
Who will judge the games?
We will have indie mobile developers from Latin America play and give feedback to selected finalist games during a judging period between November 21st -December 2nd.
Challenges
We would like to offer a few modifiers that may help you think outside the box. Although using Challenges is not required, they may help you make a unique game you have never thought about before!
What will the games be judged on?
Quality, creativity, and relation to the theme. The judges will be picking their top 4 games for the prize pool.
What is the breakdown of the prize pool of $80,000?
4 grand prize winners will be chosen for the prize pool of $80,000 (USD) during a closing ceremony stream event on Friday December 9th at 7pm PST on our partnered Latinx in Gaming Twitch channel. Each winner will receive $20,000 to further fund their jam game to be published on Google Play. $10,000 will be given up front and the remainder will be given after the game is published.
To enter the prize pool, you must submit a Terms and Conditions Agreement form within the time frame of the game jam.
Is there a Discord I can join?
Yes! Please join the Latinx In Gaming server. A channel for the game jam will be open for you to use. You'll be able to talk to other jammers to brainstorm, form teams, and receive feedback or help.
