Welcome to the Quill & Calibur Winter Game Jam!
Here's the excuse you've been looking for!
During the winter months, it can be hard to find our spark when the sun is hiding and the cold is biting. This is a great opportunity to bang out that prototype, write that script, or create the assets you've been procrastinating on.
We want to see fun gameplay, beautiful art, and anything pertaining to the creative processes surrounding game design.
This is an UNRANKED jam, but we'll still highlight all of the amazing work we can!

Rules and Finer Print
The spirit of the jam is igniting sparks of creativity and pushing self improvement. We've received some bad faith submissions in the past, and while this jam is unranked, it does have an adjudicator looking at all submissions. Any submissions that are deemed outside the spirit of the jam by the adjudicator are subject to disqualification.
- No Paid content. It should go without saying, but this is an opportunity to create something new, not an advertising opportunity your for-profit software. If you have a price tag on it, it will be disqualified. If you want to monetize AFTER the jam, go ahead! But no paywalls during submission.
- No "AI" Generated Content. This is to support artists and creators. Quill and Calibur firmly holds the belief that "AI" generated content goes against the spirit of creativity and self improvement.
- At Discretion Disqualification. Quill and Calibur reserves the right to reject any submission that is deemed outside the spirit of the jam at the adjudicator's discretion.
