RACING! One of the childhood staples. Speed is key to success. In this Jam, create the most immersive, thrilling game possible about racing in 15 days! Racing games are usually about the thrill of the wind rushing past, the neck-and-neck encounters. Use this as inspiration! I imagine that most of us have fond memories of playing older games, such as Mario Kart as kids, so let's recreate those memories. Not to say the game has to be retro, but bring us back to the innocent days of childhood where our biggest concern was what car we would unlock next. Leave the hard times of 2020 in the past, and move onward and up in the start of the new year! You can make the game multiplayer, or have it single-player. Use your knowledge of marketing to get people interested. The voting is open to the public, so this is good practice if you want to pursue gameDev as a career, or even if it's just a hobby! Note, all games Must be free to play (at least until voting ends).
RULES:
Obviously, your game has to be about Racing.
No inappropriate content that would be unsuitable for a game jam such as this. (if you wouldn't want your five year old daughter to see it, don't put it in)
Make the most of your time! Not really something I can regulate, but you should be proud of your work.
All Assets must be YOURS or have DIRECT PERMISSION to use them. This will lead to more fluid games, and be more rewarding to complete.
Yes, you can TEAM UP! this will lead to more polished gameplay, perfect for the spirit of this jam!
Have fun! (Cheesy, I know, but still valid)
Optional:
Market your game the best way you can, whether it be through social media, such as a YouTube video, or even just telling friends and family. This is an invaluable skill to have, you can have the best content in the world, but if nobody knows about it, it won't get the attention it deserves!
THERE IS A DISCORD SERVER! https://discord.gg/Whw4AePq
Have a stylized theme, this will help catch the eye of the consumer.
Note:
No matter how much experience you have, YOU ARE STILL GOOD ENOUGH! This is to learn, to grow, and you WILL make mistakes, so learn from them!
