REGENERATE Game Jam is a week of reimagining farming in games to focus on organic, regenerative and indigenous farming knowledge, practices and frameworks.

We welcome participants of all experience levels and aim to foster a diverse and inclusive safe space for everyone to feel supported and empowered. Let's come together to create fun and visible action towards the regeneration of people, place and planet. We look forward to seeing the amazing games you create!

When?  The REGENERATE Game Jam will run from 19th -23rd June  2023 NZST.

Where?  The game jam will run on the REGENERATE Game Jam Discord server.

What? Make a game in 5 days. To qualify, your game should feature organic, regenerative, indigenous or agroecological farming practices + incorporates the theme which will be revealed at the start of the jam.

PRIZE CONDITIONS

 Eligibility Criteria:

a. Participants must be at least 13 years of age or older at the time of entry. Participants in countries that have an age limit on cash prizes, and are under that age,  will not be eligible for those prizes. 

b. Participants must comply with any residency or country-specific eligibility requirements.

C. Allocation and payment of cash prizes are at the sole discretion of the organisers.

Prize Distribution Methods:

a. Cash prizes will be distributed via electronic funds transfer (EFT) or an alternative payment method chosen by the organiser.

b. Participants must provide accurate and complete payment details within the specified timeframe to facilitate prize distribution.

Currency Conversion:

a. Cash prizes will be awarded and distributed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).

b. Participants outside of New Zealand may be subject to currency conversion fees or charges imposed by their financial institution.

Taxes and Duties:

a. Participants are solely responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or other charges levied by their respective countries on the cash prizes received.

b. The organizer will not provide tax advice, and participants are advised to consult with their own tax professionals regarding their obligations.

Documentation and Verification:

a. Participants may be required to provide valid identification documents, proof of address, or any other requested information to verify their identity and eligibility for cash prizes.

b. Failure to provide the requested documentation within the specified timeframe may result in disqualification and forfeiture of the cash prize.

Transfer Fees and Charges:

a. The participants will cover any transfer fees or charges associated with the transfer of cash prizes that are deducted. 

b. Participants should consult their financial institution to determine if any additional fees or charges may apply.

Disqualification and Forfeiture:

a. Participants may be disqualified and their cash prize forfeited if they are found to have provided false information, engaged in fraudulent activities, or violated the rules and regulations of the game jam.

b. The organizer's decision regarding disqualification and forfeiture is final and binding.

Force Majeure and Liability Limitations:

a. The organizer shall not be held liable for any delay, disruption, or inability to distribute cash prizes due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or technical failures.

b. The organizers accept no liability for any claims arising from the game jam, including cash prizes, and are limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Amendment or Termination:

a. The organizer reserves the right to amend or terminate the cash prize distribution process or the entire game jam at their sole discretion.

b. Any amendments or terminations will be communicated to participants via the official communication channels specified by the organizer.
