Welcome to the 1st official Resengal Studio Game Jam!

In this event you get to make a game based around a specific theme in just two week! After submission, your game gets rated by the other participants and you of course get to vote on other games.

Make a Hyper casual or 3D Game for Android  and Top 1 Game will be published GOOGLE PLAY STORE

Game jams are a fun experience where you get to challenge yourself, meet other devs and chat about your games and their progress. The best part is that in the end you will have made and finished a game!

Are you new to game dev and don't think you can finish a game in such a short amount of time? Well give it a shot anyway,  it's worth a try and you'll probably learn a lot!

Help—I’ve never created a game before!

With so many free, open source game engines and tutorials available online, there’s never been an easier (or more exciting!) time to try out game development.

Are you…

  • Into JavaScript? You might be interested in Phaser, or Sprig.
  • Comfortable with  C++ or C#? Look at  GodotUnity and Unreal Engine.
  • Raving about Rust? You might like Bevy.
  • Proficient with Python? Check out Pygame or  Godot (Godot uses GDScript, which is similar to Python).
  • Dangerous with Java? Take a look at libGDX.
  • In love with Lua? Check out LÖVE or Defold.  Like retro games too? Drop everything and check out LIKO-12!
  • Fond of Flutter? Take a peek at Flame.
  • Gearing up with Go? You might want to look at Ebitengine.
  • Do you really like retro games? Maybe you can…
    • Crank out a text adventure in or some interactive fiction with Clojure or Ink (similar to Markdown).

The theme is: To Be Announced

1.strategy(Develop a game where the player must make strategic decisions to                                                  outsmart their opponents.)

2.platformer(Create a game where the player must navigate through a series of                                     platforms while avoiding obstacles and enemies)

The only rule we have is that your game must not include any NSFW and offensive/discriminatory content. We wish for the games to be playable by everyone!

Apart from that you are allowed to use any game engine or framework, you can also use assets not made by you, but make sure you have the proper license to use them and crediting is of course encouraged! Making everything from scratch is not mandatory, but if you do you get to be extra proud of yourself at the end!

Teaming up is allowed, and encouraged! Our recommendation is that you stick with 4 people maximum, otherwise you'll have a hard time coordinating in just a week.

Do note for submissions, if you've submitted your game, do not delete it, if you delete your game you are out of luck. Making changes after the deadline is not possible. Also know that linking to an external site will disqualify you from the jam. So make sure your game is uploaded to itch.io if you want to participate.

All games will be rated in the following categories:

  • Fun & Game Design: Do you want to continue playing? How enjoyable is the game? Is the interface usable?
  • Audio: How nice does the game sound? Does it implement cool music and sound effects?
  • Graphics: How nice does the game look? Is the art nice to look at?
  • Plagiarism free & Innovation: How often did you say "Wow! That's unexpected and clever" when playing?
  • Theme: How relevant is the game to the jam's theme?

After the submission period is over, you'll have 1 week   to rate games. Your game needs to have at least 20 ratings to be eligible to win, so make sure to play a lot of games, so your own game has a higher chance of being shown to others!

Don’t worry about this too much, though. The most important thing is that you participate, have fun, and stick to the jam’s theme! Once the submission period is closed, you will have one week to rate other people’s games.

The 3 games with the highest overall scores will be declared Community Winners. They will get :
