RISE made it to a 2nd edition and we believe that is reason to celebrate! Join this Jam and celebrate with us!

The RISE Jam is about Evolution!

RISE uses a 3 Act Character Development at its core and is the perfect system for experienced and novice players alike. RISE games guide players in 3 Acts to get to know their characters, scaffolding difficulty as you play along through your game, culminating in a final act that tests the players with limited Resources and Attempts!

Join the RISE Jam and be creative.

You could ...

• create your own RISE game
• create a guide to use RISE  with other games
• create assets to use for RISE games offline or online
• share a recipe for any baked goods using yeast - because they RISE as well!

Rules:

• No bigoted content - and yes, if you are not sure if your idea is bigoted, it probably is
• Be respectful to others
• Reach out if you are unsure of an idea
• If you are creating something that uses elements from cultures other than your own, reach out to members of this culture for a sensitivity reading
• Make sure you create safe content. If you create something that touches sensitive topics, use content warnings CW in your description
• Feel free to charge for your games, but be aware of IPs - if in doubt, publish Fan-Fiction for free (or PWYW)
• Feel free to submit your creation to other Jams as well, but make sure it really fits with their requirements

Optional Rule:

• Name your game something like "Rise of ..." or "Rise of the ..." - we did that with Rise of the Apes, Rise of the Judges and Rise of the Dick!

Our License Policy:

• Give credit where credit is due
• We won't tell how exactly you give credit, but give credit to others the way you would want be credited
• Feel free to use the Made To RISE logo available on the RISE page

Unrelated submissions:

We will delete any submission that doesn't fit this Jam. There are lot's of spam posts in game jams and they ruin it for everyone.
