Title
Singing Space Cats

Description
Overall idea:
I wanted to work with a more rock sound but add layers with synths. Some of the synths in the intro and B section kinda sounds like cats, therefore the name "Singing Space Cats".

Form and structure:
I didn't necessary think about my sections as "verse", "bridges", "Choruses" etc. instead I just saw my sections more as different sections. I don't make a lot of pop music and have a classical background. However I made sure to include a clear intro and a outro, what I'd call a coda. This is one way to describe the song structure:

Intro > Transition/Bridge> A > B >Transition/Bridge> A2 > B2 > Transistion/Bridge > Coda

The outro is particularly well done! Great use of stereo.

The structure of your music is very good, there's never a dull moment.

On the other hand, I just had the feeling that a few notes were out of range and sounded "off" at certain points in the melody.

Anyway, I love your variations in orchestration and the sounds you use. I don't know why, but it reminds me the sound of the megadrive (there is also a Sonic feel to certain passages).

Thank you for the comment!

I'm not sure if I hear the same thing you do but I also felt that one synth I used felt a bit "off" (not necessarily in a bad way) but in the end decided to keep it in because if cats were to sing they wouldn't be flawless, though maybe it might have been a bad idea from me xD

I haven't listened to a lot of Sonic music but guess I'll have to listen more. I think the use of mixing pure sin/saw waves in the lead with a more modern sound might be the reason why it reminds you of megadrive. Since I work mainly in midi using electric guitars will never sound real so I think by mixing that sound with other more "acceptable fake sounds" the resulting sound feels convincing.

Thank you for the feedback!
