Welcome to the Roblox Quarantine Game Jam!

This is a event for people that are Developers on Roblox Studio and would like to participate in a kinda race to make a game, you don't need a lot of experience to join this Jam, you can work in a Team (Max 4/5) or Solo!

The theme of the Game Jam will be revealed on: June 16 (12:00 hours GMT +2).

• You have 10 days to make a game! If you are in a team, only 1 person needs to send they're game
• Bugs or glitches don't matter! It's all about the gameplay!

• Using custom models/scripts is NOT allowed, so you gotta make it your own, if you already made models/scripts for an other game, you can use that of course, but if we find out you used free models, you'll be banned from the competition!
• If you put your game online write on the first line of the description of the game: "Roblox Quarantine Game Jam"
• Only 1 game per player/team!

FAQ

Q: How do I submit my game?

When the timer stopped, you'll see a button that says: Submit game, there you see a page will all kind of buttons and things, PUT your link in the "description" tab, and at the tab "Title" fill the title of your game and for the rest,  just fill something in (don't put random/spam things or you won't be judges, so keep it nice!

Q: I have no experience with Roblox Studio, is it smart for me to join?

Absolutely! It is open for everyone and you never know what new things you will learn!

Q: What is Roblox, or Roblox Studio?

Roblox advertises itself as an ‘Imagination Platform’ that allows its users to develop or play millions of 3D online games. It was launched in 2007, and has 64 million players every month, with an estimated total 178 million accounts on the platform. It is available to download as an app on both Android and Ios and is listed as 12+ with Parental Guidance advised. Users can also play the game on tablets, PC, XBox One or Amazon devices. 

It is described as a site created for gamers by gamers. The other main function of the platform is socializing, users are encouraged to make friends with other online players. The site allows users to “Imagine, socialize, chat, play, create, interact and relate with others in many ways.” The Roblox Suite allows gamers to create their own game or create another world with friends or ‘virtual explorers’. 

Q: Can I use one of my other games/places?

Yes this is allowed, but you're still not allowed to use free models/scripts, and make it so it fits the theme.

Q: How do I get in a team?

You can always ask in the "Community" Tab for joining a group, or ask your Developer friends!

Q: Are there prizes?

There are no prize, because this is a friendly competition.

Q: Can I use the toolbox?

No, this isn't allowed, and if we found out, you will be eliminated/banned from the competition!
