Random Generator: 3 Nouns

Your challenge will be to create a game that uses the three nouns, that will be generated from this random generator, as a theme. You will receive your unique randomized nouns once you click on the above link. Feel free to re-generate new nouns until you find a set of three that works for you, but make sure you use the three nouns you get in one roll, rather than picking one from each. Regardless, I encourage you to work with what you initially get.

Overview

In this game jam, you will be working with a random generator to determine what your specific theme will be. The generator will be revealed once the game jam begins. When you submit your game, you will be required to enter your randomized theme, so others can see what your results were. Because there's no way to verify whether you used any of the generators and this game jam is meant to be fun, an honor system will be implemented. I hope you look at this as an opportunity to make something fun, bizarre and unique rather than to defeat others.

Judging Criteria

The purpose of these jams is to challenge yourself in design. As such, the most important part of your games should be its design, innovation and overall experience. For the purpose of the jam, visuals and presentation should only be important if they are integral to the design of the game.

The games will be ranked by:

• Design: How well designed is the game?
• Innovation: How well did it innovate? Did it create new mechanics or change existing ones?
• Potential: Does this game have the potential to grow into something more?
• Correlation to the Theme: How well did the game represent the theme?

Assets

Everything must be made by yourself or your team. However, video and audio can be brought in externally, as long as you are legally allowed to use them.

Sensitive Content

Any games that feature hate speech, nudity or excessive amounts of violence/gore are not allowed and will be removed from the jam. Please don't try to find a loophole! If you really want to include these in your games, then please find another game jam to join. This is not up for debate.
