rpgmaker 2003 was two dollars a few days ago and a bunch of my friends bought it. let's make dogshit rpgmaker games together

this jam is mostly just for my friends but you can make a dogshit rpgmaker game too. here's the discord server we're in about it.

rules if you're a rando for whom this isn't a given

• no AI
• don't be a dick
  • that includes don't be a bigot
    • acab
    • free palestine
    • trans women have a right to women's spaces
    • no human is illegal
    • abortion is healthcare is a human right
  • do you think that filtered out the worst of 'em
    

rules for the game you make

• it can be dogshit
  • if anything dogshit is encouraged
• if you don't finish it that's fine and you should submit it anyway
• you don't have to use rpgmaker 2003 if you have a different version
• it's fine to pick a project you didn't finish back up
• don't submit something you've already basically completely made though
• you can and should use preexisting assets, including but not limited to the ones just in rpgmaker already
  • if you bought any of the big itch.io charity bundles you can use random bundle game and filter by the bundles you own and by "assets" to see what assets you already own
    • surprise!
• there are themes but you don't have to follow them

things you can make a game about

• taking your dog for a walk
• navigating a community, for good or ill
• a li'l vignette about your oc's backstory
  • even if it won't make sense to anyone who isn't intimately familiar with that oc
    • ESPECIALLY if that's true actually
• anything you want tbh but these are just some quick ideas
