  • The art is excellent, and so does the music, but the gameplay isn't delightful. First of all, the game doesn't feel satisfying at all. You cant see what is going on, and it is tough even to know what you are supposed to do. You don't know whether you killed an enemy, and you don't know how many points you are getting or where it is shown on the screen. About four variables are being shown to me on the screen, constantly changing, and I have no idea what they tell me. A good game should be able to communicate its mechanics to the player without a wall of text, and the player should understand it easily. A way to fix that is to add a symbol on the side of every variable to show the player what they are. Another thing that you can add is a way to view your high score on the main menu so the player will feel more rewarded. A widespread mistake people make is assuming the player will instantly know what to do in our games(myself included). I have seen what the gameplay should look like because you shared it with me, but I am unsure about the others. Even after that, I still don't understand why you have to do that and this. Another issue I had with the game was how the storylines were shown. I can't read them 99% of the time and will miss them. It is also VERY distracting. So I think a good idea is to add something like a notebook on the main menu where it will store all of the storylines you encountered, and it's up to the player to determine what the story is about. Overall great game. There is much room for improvement, and I hope you win. Good luck.
