Having now played after we talked about the difficulty, I think you found a good spot. It took me a few tries, but I did beat it. Your choice to remove the light in the main room was a good one. Without the flashlight mechanic I totally would've just camped in a corner with the doors opened the whole time. Instead it was a pretty intense experience for me.
I found the mouse sensitivity to be too high for my taste, and didn't see a way to lower it, unless I'm just blind. But aside from that, and the android screams being SUPER loud, I have no complaints. Stream VOD, if you want to find your game: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/497900348
