Scripto did not play well with bad internet (one of our collaborators is from South Africa, and her internet is spotty): it tended to not save, overwrite and generally make the collaboration very buggy. Also noted that quite often when two people edited the same text or close to one another, there was a lot of loss, reverting, and general tomfoolery. Not the most pleasant experience, unfortunately.
