Nice use of colour, good character design and nice concept overall. With practice and experience the artist will improve on what is already a great foundation for a career in video game graphics. Continue researching and experimenting. Good anatomy work. Perhaps investigate ways to give poses more organic / natural feeling, but this is a great effort.
