  • Would definitely like to see more. There is not much here currently, so a little difficult to comment.

    Looking at the reffs, there is a very broad variety. It would be good to lock it down further in the future and start removing less preferred reffs so you can start streamlining the direction of this character.|

    If your shading and rendering in 2d is not so strong it is ok to just present value and line work, with a few swatches indication colours and materials.

    I think this initial concept phase would need to be well definition before moving onto any technical character production, so best spend time here and really define the direction if you can. Be careful of collecting too many reffs as this may lead to confusion. Try to lock down and remove less applicable as you move forward to a more solid concept of your character.

  • Difficult to make your work as it is a 3D character completion and your work is all 2D. Next year give yourself enough time to complete the challenge it is a great opportunity and will really push you and give you the opportunity to learn many new skills.
