  • Hi Hannah! Firstly, I love the concept, you have great skill in art itself, and if you lend it to 3d, with practise you certainly will become a skilled artist in the field. You have all the basics forms there of the original concept, when created in 3d, I would say there is some slight difference between your original concept and the character sheets, which was produced in the 3d also, but it still looks great. Mainly moving forward I would look at topology in itself, you made some errors when creating the topo, that showed up more when smoothing. Such as the upper arm, at the elbow, and the head visor. This is simply down to connecting polys to have 4 sides or less. I think it should be fairly easy for the next character to understand the relationships with retopo, don’t worry, in the end when learning we don’t know yet what we don’t know. For stylised work and texturing stylised work, there are a variety of tutorials out there that would greatly help, I cant think right now where, but I remember a great dwarf stylised character tutorial that might be relatively easy to find for stylised work, and if you’re a pro member of ArtStation they have a great sword stylised tutorial that can be used in character creation also. Ah found the dwarf for you https://gumroad.com/l/UoIt I notice your using quixel, if following a tutorial using substance or 3D Coat, you should be able to translate it over anyway. And if at any point you’re applying for a role that requires substance, its not that hard to pick up and learn quickly if used to photoshop. Thank you for your work, please connect with me on artstation, it would be great to follow you back and see your progress. Its Adam Vickerstaff Thank you
