  • Hi Freja, Thank you for producing this work, it certainly makes me also feel uncomfortable! 😊 Looking at your conclusion I totally agree with your last paragraph, planes would have been better for the whiskers, and your polygon count is quite excessive. If your imagining the rat on the floor in a game, I would suspect, as you said, one material, and a low resolution would be enough. With a character that is mainly all one object anyway, without employing udims, which we don’t usually do in games anyway, chances are it would be one texture and mat anyway. Apart from that, you do have relatively a good process. When doing the retopo, yes you could use a little work to make it cleaner, but you will get there im sure, but, try sending the mesh back into zbrush and project it using the high, therefore it might solve the issue I see where the toes are so thin, but in the high they arnt. I occasionally, especially when I have a lot of parts, unwrap in zbrush. However it does have faults, so usually I would then take it into maya, and do another unwrap on the island, and also make sure it fits well in the 1-1 space. Yours doesn’t sit very well in that space and with a little shunting I think you could have used a good 30% more texture resolution. Apprt from that, you are producing some great textures. I looked through some of your previous work on artstation, and you should be quite proud of your texturing so far. It will take some studying and more research to hone those skills, but your doing well. Thank you for your submission, and good luck in the future. In Adam Vickerstaff if you would like to follow me on artstation, and I will certainly follow you back. Thank you
  • its not bad but needed more work on the appeal.
