Things that went well: ✧ Good choice to use a curve to create the rope geo. ✧ REALLY great job straightening out the UV borders and packing the shells. Especially the fingers. ✧ Nice painterly look. ✧ Well done on using a custom rig as this is a skill beyond expectations of a character artist. Things to consider next time: ✧ The poses could be further improved by ensuring the hand is tightly clenched around the fork. Unfortunately the gap there is a big immersion breaker for the final renders. ✧ If you choose to use PBR again, use some bolder lighting choices in engine to really show it off! The very diffused lighting in the scene and lack of floor shadow makes the character read as if it is unlit. ✧ In the high poly, the sharp change of plane on the cheek would benefit from following the natural contour of the cheekbone all the way back to the ear, rather than curving upwards towards the eyebrow. As you are in the Rising Star tier, I hope this feedback can be used to inform how you approach future university projects and I would love to see you take part in the competition again next year!
