- Assessor: Anthony O Donnell – Art Director @ d3t Title: Lost Church Research and Development Planning was solid. Unfortunate other workloads knocked it out. I wouldn’t worry too much about it as game dev is always a balance. Reference gathered was on point to inform the intended direction. Creative Art I really like the combination of themes aspired to during the research phase. The texture work looked good. Technical Art A modular kit was used along with a trim sheet approach which is standard and shows an awareness of current art production methods. The blockout / iterative approach is sensible and as expected. Documentation The document was clear and went into some detail regarding the development of the work. Final Presentation The final piece was unfinished so didn’t hit the intended goal but is a good base to build from and continue the project. I’d suggest keeping it at this stage and finish off blocking in the scene and lighting so you’ll have a solid work list of assets and a sense of the work involved before delving deeper into asset creation.
