  • Assessor: Anthony O Donnell - Art Director @ d3t Submission: 보라빛 밤 | Dream n°3 This piece is clearly personal to the artist and really pulled in a variety of references to support the artist in conveying the desired mood and theme. It's clear to see how the inspirational elements chosen have impacted the end result. The document was very informative and well presented and written. The final image does achieve a dream like quality with the colour choices coupled with the lighting and atmosphere. With that said UE4 has a tendency to end up looking washed out as is the case here. Some of the vibrancy of the inspirational images are lost. Uniquely unwrapping all the assets is not the most efficient way to approach game art creation. I'd suggest looking into tileable textures and trim sheet use for future reference. Texel density is inconsistent within the scene. The floors and walls look low res, tileable textures would have really helped here. Material definition could be more controlled, this can actually aid in the composition of an image to lead the eye to more reflective objects in the scene while less smooth surfaces recede into the background. Technical issues aside it's a visually interesting piece that works imparting its intended mood.
