- A well executed project with good 'final presentation' images where the lighting, glow of the plant and VFX and reflections in the floor really bind the assets together. I would suggest great attention to UV shells; knowing where to use unique space, or re-use, keeping consistent texel density (books) and using the whole space effectively.
- Polycount and texture budget for the flower were way to high for it's size, regardless of it being a focal point. The emissive will also have made much of the texture and surface detail invisible. Equally modelling and texturing on the candles wasn't very efficient, as recognised in the documentation. I do also agree the books look a little flat and could use some more depth, but making them all as geometry would have been very expensive. Overall it matches the concept art pretty well. Look into what's affecting the blue light and how it casts - some meshes potentially need shadows turning off.
- The starting idea is nice, composition as well (lighting, colorgrading), but the dressing is lacking of variety and elements. I would play more on the fog and DoF if the scene was that empty. What I would suggest is to play more with the books on the side, making them fly, making things more magic to explain what is happening with the central piece.
