- Quite simplistic pose to pose anim. The 'stamp' section needs a polish pass to make it read as more believable. Currently lacking in any weight and power. Everything is animated at the same pace, just needs some nuanced elements/micro movements to sell it some more. Maybe video yourself performing the move to get reference for speed and timings.
- A good approach to your documentation, and how you were going to tackle the challenge. I really liked seeing your thumbnailing and notes. The posing for the animation has clearly benefitted from the pre-production sketches. Overall, the animation is good but a little bit “floaty”. The addition of some texture in the timing (faster and slower moves) would really help. Keep in mind how a body will shift weight from leg to leg (especially when idling), and where a character’s centre of gravity would be with only one foot on the ground. The technical side of animation for games can tend to suck up time (even in the industry), and although you didn’t get to finish the project it does feel almost game ready.
