  • This was good and you should be proud of what you achieved, just be careful about your strategy of going "big" and then scaling back. You should make sure that everything you plan to do is achievable. Often times when people aim to make something big, they get stuck trying to develop a certain part of the game and end up wasting a lot of time trying to do one thing. That's why for something like this, the best approach is to usually focus on making a small polished slice of a game which can then be expanded upon. Plan how much time you have and what is actually feasible in that window. Then during development, don't be afraid of reevaluating your plan and cutting features if you're short on time. Some general notes about the game: - Either have limited ammo or tell people that bullets will disappear. In a maze game where you're able to mark objects, people will use the bullets to mark which way they've gone, but if they're not aware the bullets disappear they can end up getting stuck in a loop. - Its good that you added a way for people to make a level, but the only way to do this is to first complete the 3 tests. It would be good after unlocking the level functionality to be able to create and test them from the menu. - Look at randomising the map. Once you know the short way to the maze, there's not much to differentiate each run. It would be good if you could save a different maze with each level. Just a general comment, Unity is an engine used widely in the Games Industry by many different studios of different sizes, so don't feel the need to always go with Unreal. As I said, this was good, and you should be happy with what you achieved.
