  • There should be a clear focus on what the project is about (is it a Portal or House Cleaning game?). During my playthrough, I encountered a few bugs in both games, with raycasts not working correctly and portals not teleporting the player correctly. Also, after the house cleaning game ends you cannot progress/go back to another menu. Overall, the menu system did not work as one would expect (transition to different menus/states or clickable buttons) although the Pause Menu screen was a nice touch.
  • This was good, some general notes: - I know it can be tough to work on a project like this whilst balancing your other work. The key thing is to be honest with yourself about how much time you'll have to spend on this project and try to make a small polished vertical slice of a game in that time. During development, try to evaluate your time/plan to see how long it took you to do things, and how much you have left to do. Don't be afraid to cut features if you find yourself short on time. - Try and make sure you have time allocated for bug fixing at the end of the project, as some bugs only appear when everything is in. - Whilst its good that you randomly spawn things in the level to keep them different, make sure that you have "safe zones" for spawning, to stop things spawning inside of furniture. But like I said, this was good.
  • Perhaps could use sprint/jump options in trash collection minigame to improve the pace - would also be interesting to throw objects from further away in an attempt to collect items faster at the risk of missing. Some of the mouse picking mechanics seem a little wonky, failing to pickup items or failing to put them in the preferred receptacle. Interesting concept though. Game hung after trash minigame Interesting concept for portal section - as described in documentation was perhaps overambitious in the time available but a good attempt.
