Judge feedback

  • Good execution overall, especially the circuit-travelling mechanic. It would have been nice if there was some puzzle solving to add more variety to the game. The win condition was not clear and controls could be a bit more responsive, but the idea and execution was good.
  • This was good, you should be happy with what you were able to achieve. Some general notes: - Look at giving the player more feedback about what's going on and what their objectives are (i.e. Loading text on the loading screen so it doesn't look like the game has frozen, reminding the player what they need to do, controls in the game). They're little things but they can add up. I know its not always possible either, but it can be good to get feedback about the game from players, to see what people didn't understand/were confused by. - In game programming we have something called the 3C's (Character, Controls, Camera) as they are the fundamentals for games like this. Its worth spending the extra time to make sure these elements are nailed and feel smooth/easy to use, otherwise it can have a hinderance on the rest of the game. Like I said this was good, and you should be happy with what you were able to make.
